Mr. Dotson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Safety, Security & Emergency Management at Eastern Kentucky University. He began his career in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Later Ronald jointly served with the 4th CEB and as lead operator and project planner for Bear Creek Construction, an excavation contract company. In 1995, he began a successful career in law enforcement serving in Ashland, Kentucky where he earned several awards, including a Medal of Honor. After performing patrol and investigation duties, James became an Instructor at the Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond, Kentucky. He performed duties as an instructor, co-developed courses for law enforcement officers, wrote articles for Law Enforcement Magazine, and developed training for the Homeland Security Department. Ronald accepted a position in 2005 with KI USA Corporation as its Safety Coordinator. During his stay, injuries fell 46%, KI became an inaugural member of Kentucky EXCEL, and KI saw its lowest work comp expenditure in its history.

Mr. Hoagland has performed and developed testing for the electric arc since 1994 and has performed over 15,000 electric arc tests in Canada on clothing, face shields, and fall protection harnesses. His publications are numerous in IEEE and safety magazines. Hugh helped invent most of the arc resistant rainwear materials used today and is also co-inventor of the first arc protective face shield. He trains thousands of workers each year in electrical hazards and NFPA 70E, serves as an expert witness, and performs hazard assessments and accident investigations. Hugh is a member of U.S. and International committees who set the standards for electrical arc testing and clothing requirements.
