2011 Lifesaving Award

The first annual Lifesaving Award was presented by KSHN President Tim Lutz and Labor Cabinet Secretary Mark Brown at the 27th Annual Kentucky Safety and Health Network Conference & Exposition in Louisville.  The first recipient was Danny Allen, who on February 9, 2011, gave his life when he pushed two fellow employees out of the way of an out-of-control truck and was struck and killed.  The award was accepted by Mr. Allen’s sons, JP and Chris.
